A late October fixture saw the the Libs take on the RAG in a friendly.
The Liberals are, unsurprisingly, a liberal bunch, and so don’t mind taking a rather freer approach to team selection than many other teams would countenance.
So for this fixture readers will see that the Libs were not quite the National Liberal Club – with Tristan Alford (Army & Navy) crossing the floor of the house. In return, the Ragtags (not quite Army & Navy) bagged someone called Nigel Giffin KC MA (Oxon) and Rob Matthews of the RAC on short-term loans from their respective clubs.
Thoroughly confusing. But all had fun.
