In yet another first for the NLC Chess Circle, Mister Hamme represented the Circle on the ‘Knights Tour’ on Monday 26th September 2016.
32 chess players played in teams of eight, playing three 60 minute games at the Athenaeum, Reform and Oxford & Cambridge clubs, followed by a grand dinner at the O&C. The match was attended also by the Capablanca Chess Club from Cuba who acquitted themselves with honour.
Mister Hamme played and won all three of his games. He said “the evening meal at the O&C was excellent, with everyone thanking Danny Rosenbaum of the Reform for organising the event”.
